Moritz Glott (1867 – 1946)
Moritz Glott was born in Kiev in 1867, and was introduced to the tobacco business at a very early age. In 1890 he settled in Norway where he soon became a proficient tobacco-merchant. His establishment was to become one of the leading tobacco factories in Norway. Moritz Glott was a great financial contributor to many Jewish associations. He was also one of the founders of DMT in 1892. During the persecutions of Jews in 1942, Moritz Glott managed to escape to Sweden. He died in Oslo in 1946, at the age of 79
