His Majesty King Harald V of Norway on a private visit to Oslo Jewish Museum

Today we had the great pleasure of wishing King Harald welcome to our museum. The king was met by director Sidsel Levin and academic director Mats Tangestuen. The city of Oslo City was represented by deputy mayor Khamshajiny Gunaratnam.

The guided tour started outside with our newest exhibition: «Heia jødene! An exhibition about integration and the joy of sports». It continued indoors with our two larger exhibitions «Remember us unto life – Jews in Norway 1940-45» and «The Jewish year – For Everything there is a Season».

It was a very pleasant visit, and nice to be able to tell the king about the museum’s activities.

Our historian, Mats Tangestuen, told the king about the Norwegian Jews flight to Sweden.

Our director, Sidsel Levin, talked about the museums cultural activities.
